1997 318i 5 speed stock against 1998 528i Auto. How close would it be?

The 318 would win off of the line, then it would be 5 series tail lights the rest of the way.

318 is kinda underpowered and 528 is a heavey car, not to mention auto.

i am going with 528

Ok..I'm definately going with the 528. Not only is it an automatic..it has about 60 more horses.

528 would win hands down

You would need:

CAI
Exhaust
Chip
Driving course

Or a different car!

Not to steal your post Isosceles but before i race my friedns 95 325is with just a CAI and 5 spd would you think i would have a chance if i have just a chip and auto in my 92 325i ?:dunno:

I recon that is too close to call mate

Dont race for cash cos you may well lose.

The CAI give the same as a chip in reality so it will be down to the condition of the engine and the skill of the driver.

As long as you are not street racing, i wish you luck!!

100mph is abit too fast.
if u hit anything over 35mph ur considered dead. I think its 35mph. Around the 60kmph mark

Street racing is stupid...plain and simple

Make sure you carry a donor card!!

Pirate_copy
03-01-2007, 03:41 AM
A new kidney?? I will go two's with you buddy, dont worry

Just think about this 'street racers'. If you crash into someone and they die, imagine how you will feel when you wake up and you are alive........could you live with that.

DONT say "it wont happen to me" or "i am too good a driver for that to happen" as 1. Even the best in the world make mistakes 2. There are other factors to consider like the car failing, someone pulling in front of you, oil on the road.

DONT STREET RACE!!

amen pete.
I knew a guy who bought my cousins 180sx(240sx in the states) and he was speeding with his gf in the car. Gravel on the side of the road and in the wet. He lost it... Into a rock... Killed his gf. He woke up from his coma and everyone told him his gf was alright for a week or so until they broke the news. I think he got charged with manslaughter. Not sure....
I couldnt live with it.
