I use GuidePointSystems. You can locate your car 24/7 on the internet, a pretty cool feature.

Alarm for finding your car in a parking lot/garage. That's a useful function and about all its worth.

Cheers

I'll go with the rest...Nothing...

However, here's a question...Does BMW Assist, now included for 4 years on 2007 vehicles when equipped, include a "stolen car" function like OnStar? You can call OnStar, tell them your vehicle is stolen and they'll help the police find it.

Edit: NM, I answered my own question by navigating over to BMWusa.com. Yes, BMW Assist does include a "stolen car" function. You can call after filing your police report and BMW will help them find your car.

Most people assume BMWs have alarms. So Id go with nothing.

I say nothing, waste of money. When is the last time you called the cops because you heard a car alarm go off? And why get LoJack when you have free BMW Assist?

Yes however the stolen vehicle recovery system is antenna-based and will not work if the antenna can't get a signal.(such as being in a garage)

The blinking light under the rear view mirror is intimidating enough. :)

Do test your ASSIST once per month. I tested mine last month and it was not functioning. It might not have been working for months. The module had to be replaced.
ALARMS....worthless. my opinion
