:( I guess basically all of vendors aren't interested in an e36 that was recently featured in Bimmer. :dunno:

If anyone is looking for a SoCal car that just about all of the local enthusiasts know, let me know. I'd love to be in a booth. :)

The car is mauritius blue metallic. Has lots of nice tasteful mods and frequents the socal track/autox events. I guess most vendors want show cars that have never and most likely will never see a track. :p

Is his company the detailing one?

yeah, he said they only had 2 cars including me but that was 2 day ago. couldnt hurt to ask though.

Bimmerfest needs more track oriented vendors. Its in their (the vendors) best interest to come. Yes some race cars do show up, like this year I believe there to be a couple coming along. But overall...its lighting and show off brake kits.

Id like to see a couple of IP cars this year...anything would be better than subs and interior TV's.

On the other hand, I understand most enthusiasts are geared towards show like cars. After all...BMW is a luxury car company.

Pfft, BMW aint luxury no more, bottom line model having 280+ bhp is sport. Heck, the sevens arent even luxury with that power and the new X5 kicks my M3's ass on every field. If someones looking for luxury they should goto mercedes or jaguar.

Meh, I feel bad for you. But at the same time...its just a booth. I feel like if my car was in a booth...id be too busy dealing with the business side of bimmerfest, rather than the enthusiast role.

I 75% sure I saw your car last year at bimmerfest. If it was indeed your car, it looked quite nice.

Thanks. Its one of only 2 or 3 mauritius blue cars at bfest. I just hate being hidden way in the boonies of the parking lot. I also think that there are quite a few vendors who would be able to show off many things that they sell. Oh well.

One thing to keep in mind - how much room does each vendor have? Last year the grounds were constrained by space. I don't think this year will be any different.

The vendor I contacted said they just didn't have the space to put the cars they wanted on display. Don't take it personally :)

Last year there were some fantastic cars out in the lot, equally a nice as what was on the lawn. Enjoy the parking lot with the rest of us common folk ;)

:tsk:

In '05, the Rogue didn't have its own booth, it wasn't in any vendors' booths either and it had just had a huge spread in Bimmer.

Hey boys, this thread is a "feel bad for Kim" thread. :p

:tsk:

I'm really trying to, but I just can't. Something inside me just won't let me feel bad for you. Not sure what's holding me back, but I'll figure it out.

But not to worry, I'll make sure I don't park near your *AS* *SEEN* *IN* Bimmer E36. I don't want you to catch something from us common folk. Gas fumes are a perfectly normal smell. ;)

ah... AAHHH.. AH-CHOO!

Oops.

Oh gees. "Common folk" It's not that I think my car is too good for the lot (she's been there for 5 years now), I guess I just thought someone would be interested. But everyone wants brembos (that will never get put to decent use) and a boom-boom sound system.

It's not really that big of a deal. :dunno: And I was joking about the "feel sorry for me" comment.

I just thought of a solution for you!

:bigpimp:

A "Silver Level" outdoor booth is only $300.

Find a couple of friends to split it 3 ways, and you have your own booth which also
grants you permission for early access...

Okay Jon, do you still have silver booths available? Some of us over at SoCale36 and Tehdriven would like some space.

If your in a booth will there be like special instructions left at the gate allowing you to enter early or will we need to attain something from the people organizing the booth?

I believe that the people at the gate have a list of vendors, and the number of cars (possibly even the persons name driving each car), so that they let the right people in.

pix335i
03-16-2007, 12:15 PM
If you are going to be in a vendor's booth you will need to get a pass from them which will be required at the gate before being open to the public. The group handling incoming cars will only let people with valid passes enter prior to 9AM with no exceptions. Make sure you work closely with a vendor and get a pass if you will be in a booth.
