I have an intake for the 325i/iS or 328i/iS 92-98. It is brand new and has never been installed. The manufacturer is Vibrant and the intake is made from mandrel bent T6061 aluminum and has a 50,000 mile washable filter. I am asking $70 for the intake. email me for photos or more information at pzofsak@bhptech.com

Any idea if this would fit an 1999 323i convertible (still an E36)? The pictures I've seen of an intake wouldn't fit on mine due to some contraption being right behind the driver side headlight.

I believe that thing behind your headlight is the xenon control module for your headlights. The intake does not extend that far like some intakes that extend into the bumper. If the 323 uses the same engine, or intake setup, as the 325 and 328 it should fit your 323. I have heard of some engines not having the temperature sensor that bolts onto the intake. I will email you a photo so you can see for yourself.

I don't have xenon bulbs to the best of my knowledge. After poking around some this weekend (and upgrading to brighter headlights) I think I have better understanding of what the intake would replace. I will try to get a pic of my problem area and see if anyone is able to give an educated suggestion.

Sorry for the delay. And as much as I hate to admit it... does it come with directions? I've never done much work on my cars other than oil changes and replacing bulbs and the like.

It looks like the intake I have will fit your car perfectly. It is the same bend as your stock unit and has the mount for the air temp sensor. If you are interested let me know. Thank you, Paul.

Pzofsak,
Can you post some images and what would be included? If it'll fit and is complete I'm interested.

Hmm.
Most intakes I've seen (pictures of) have a longer flow tube that allowed the air filter to be near the wheel well and the metal ones had some of insulation to keep them cooler.
Sorry, doesn't look like what I was thinking. Good luck.
