California Laws?

I was planning on getting clear corners/sidemarkers/rear turn signals. Anyone know Californian regulations on these? I heard from a friend clear corners are illegal but on the DMV website I couldn't find info on this.

As far as I know the only requirement is that the light is amber so you use a amber bulb.
My car has clear corner and I have not been pull over. A lot of people has the clear lights.

Thanks man :) I'll double check that if I can though. I was told cops don't bother to pull you over for it unless there's another reason ><

Just go to the local police department and ask any traffic officer about your concerns. they will tell you straight forward what is the law.

if it was car manufactures wouldn't be installing them on the cars right from the factory..

Just as said by Droopy9, u can have clear housing, just a amber light bulb. I personally don't like the amber, so just left the clear bulbs in there. haha

But i confirmed with highway patrol that it is illegal.

Relax, the chances that you'll ever get nabbed for that are like one in a thousand. I'm sure they'll go for all the people with the illegal tint first.

Ya ur rite, they have better things to do than pull people over with the wrong color signal light. I'm gna be tinting all around soon! :rofl: And i have no front plate, and it is state law in CA to have one. wut everrrr :p

I have clear corners, blue angel eyes (pretty sure thats not legal), no front licence plate (same in illi as in cali on that one), and im tinting next weekend. What ***37; are you going with? I'm trying to decide still.

I'm still thinking too, between either 20% or 30%. I am gonna do all the windows the same, so it matches. Still deciding if I want dark or light tint.

I'm stuck between eather 35***37; all around, 20% all around, or 20%back 35% front. I'd rather it all match.. but I really don't wanna get nabbed 2ce a year like my friends with the 20%. I've never thought about getting 30%.. that might not be a bad idea.
