Blue lights are out. Halogens are the cool, rebelious look of the future.
Honestly, perhaps angel eye upgrades? :dunno:

I don't know if I could buy another car without them. I love them so much.

I find these pro-xenon sentiments so odd. I was underwhelmed by the xenons on my 330i. I would never again pay extra for them. And I am confident that, in terms of useful light, my halogens are just as bright..
Granted, I live in a generally urban area where I could probably get by without any headlights if I had too.

No frickin' way TD... you need to re-evaluate this. Maybe there was some issue on your '01.

ASIDE from the brightness/useful issue of xenon vs. halogen...
try putting the same two BMW's next to each other... but only difference being one has xenons while the other has halogens...
now tell me which car looks more expensive...
maybe you don't care... but i sure did... i paid good money for my car... but why does it look so much cheaper than the one next to me because of the $500 option?
and steverin02... how do i know you? did i buy one of my xenon units from you? or were we both looking at the same xenons when it was up on ebay? i would bet my right or left nut that our paths have crossed before regarding xenons

Actually the halogen ones look more "expensive", especially on BMWs.
Around where I live, too many fake "xenons" with painted blue bulbs drive around and when i see excessively blue headlights I immediately associate them with the "JIMMY" bulbs. I've sat both my car and my wife's car next to each other and I actually think the halogens look more "luxurious" and "expensive".
Now, when the lights are off, the projector light enclosure on the xenon equipped BMW actually look nicer, but at night I still associate blue "xenons" with cheap Japanese "*****s".

A true newer xenon can not be matched by ANY halogen... in terms of ease on the eyes..(outward view) clarity of objects in front of you, and safety. I have them and I will never purchase another car without them.

I'm with you. I can also agree, if you mostly drive in an illuminated urban area the difference is marginal.
But drive in not so illuminated suburbs, dark (and windy) roads or freeway in between towns and it's a no brainer superior illumination.

I agree 100%. I live in the 'burbs and commute farther out. In the winter when it's pitch dark during my commute, the Xenon's are immensely better. That is why I ordered them.
