I'd like to add heated seats to an E46 generation car, and there are cheap E36 seats near me. If I removed the elements and wiring from the old seats, would they work in the newer model?

why don't you just buy a universal seat heating element kit off Ebay?

I want something that can be wired up to the OEM switches.
