Driving home Friday afternoon got a chime and message to reduce speed, convertible top not locked. Top was all the way down, locked in palce (according to i-drive when I put it down) then after about 10 minutes of driving it came on. Stopped put the top up and then down again, did the same thing after about a mile. Then the warning went away. Anyone else have this problem- or know if it is just a sensor or something more serious?

And to the daily driver question below- this one has been my daily driver for over a year and has been great! Makes the drive to and from work almost something to look forward to (if any 25 minute commute in Houston can be something to look forward to!).

Haven't had that issue with mine, sorry I can't help.

A 25 minute commute? That is considered a local job here in So Cal ..... enjoy it as it would be twice as long out here.

You may have a sensor that is about to fail. I had the same type of warning as you have described - false "top not locked" warning. It would usually go away after I stopped and restarted the car. Eventually, however, the sensor failed, the warning was constant, and the top would not open. All has been fine since the dealer replaced the sensor.

Thanks Leslie! Will take it in soon- don't want to be caught without a top that goes down.
