I have 2 Passport questions:
1. Do I need a Passport in hand to place my ED order and reserve a delivery date?
2. Do I need the Passport in hand to make my flight arrangements?
I want to do an August 2007 ED. The post office told me that I'd likely have the Passport issued in 10 weeks which is the middle of June.

1. No. Pre-reservation form only has the date you request to pick up in Munich, your and your CA's contact info, and the options you want on your car
2. No. Passport # is entered at the time you check in. If flying a domestic carrier such as UA, you can now even check in at the kiosks and manually enter your passport # rather than waiting in the crazy long international check in lines.

You need it for your purchase order, I believe the latest is 30 days before your delivery date. I would try to get your passport before that 30 day period. Middle of June sounds safe.
