View Full Version : Dumping the 2007 525i for 2004 545i Sport

I am considering doing a lease swap on my 525 premium cold weather. There are many services out there and i negotiated a great lease IMHO. I am pretty sure someone would take this via a lease broker. I would in turn purchase a 545i sport premium cold weather, etc...with under 35k miles.
Am i nuts?? The power is just not there and i feel a little loose without the sport package.
It is a great car, but something is missing from my ride...
Thanks to all

The torque of the V8 is the greatest thing going! I picked up my 2003 540i Sport on a lease assumption and it worked out well for me.
I now have an 2008 550i Sport on order and the lease cost looks like it will be similar......

the 545 is a great car esp when compared to a 525. are you nuts , well maybe for buying the 525 but not for trading for the 545. but is it economical that you must determine.

Long story short...a friend of mine owns a 525...I have the 545...I let him drive my car and his comment was "dude I'm geedy"...gotta like the power!
I'm personally a power monger and can totally understand your need and want to go from a 525i to a 545i. I thought about buying one instead of my recent addition. I still may buy a E60 545i/550i/M5 in the next year or so. Only time will tell......they new look has been growing on me, especially with the aero kit!

The torque IS addictive, that's for sure! You'll love the 545, that's also for sure!
