Order Tracking, Option missing

Today my status changed from on Order to Scheduled for Production. I also now have a VIN # Woo Hoo!

My only problem is that when I view the “Review Order Detail” section all of my Factory Ordered Options appear except the 6FL USB/iPod adapter. I am not sure why it’s not showing up, I just looked in the computer system Friday with my CA at my local dealership and it showed the 6FL option.

Has anyone else seen the 6FL option show up on the Vehicle Order Tracking web site?

This option doesn't show up. I think we need a sticky with options that don't show up in the order detail as this gets asked a ton. ZPP and ZSP don't show either.

Ask for a copy of the "Vehicle Inquiry" to confirm your actual order. Probably the same as what you saw on the computer at the dealership but it can give you some peace of mind.:thumbup:

Thanks for the replies. Not sure why it wouldn't show up, but as long as it's on the car I'm fine with it. If it's not that's another story! :thumbup:

Yeah mine didn't say what color the interior trim was that I had ordered. I called my CA and he assured me that it was ordered correctly, and it was! Rest assured, it is in very good hands.

That's interesting - must be something with the 3 series. I have a 535xi ordered and the Ipod/usb adapter shows up - in fact all my options show up - even the Anthracite Headliner which is a Priority 1 option shows up.

Probably because when a lot of us ordered the option wasn't offical in the computer. Just a guess.

I think the ipod adaptor doesnt show up because its not a factory installed option. In fact they install it at the dealership or port of arrival. Thats what my dealer told me.

My understanding is that it is a factory installed option. You get the cable from the dealer after your car is redelivered.

Correct for cars built March 07 and later. Curious that it would show up on 5er orders and not for 3er's. FWIW it doesn't show up on my order page either, yet it's definately on my VIR. I went to the dealer yesteday to inquire whether or not you could pick up the cable prior to ED and all I got was the :dunno: look! It's still too new for anyone to know I suppose. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll figure it out in the month left before we leave.

I was at the dealer last Friday (dropping off my PO) and inquired about the cable at the parts department. I got the same look. :confused:

My CA told me that I could have the cable (if they have it) before I leave for Munich. :thumbup:

Thats what i thought too, but they seem to confuse the auxillary plug for the ipod USB adaptor. They still tell me that its a Port installation and not factory, because I asked since I wanted to use it in europe. Well I guess I will find out in 3 weeks :)
