I am buying the 225/45ZR17 RE050 tires from tire rack for a 2004 325ci sport package car. I see 2 different tires, one is 90W and one is 91W, the 90W specs say it is 22lbs., the 91W specs say it is 24 lbs. I called tire rack and spoke to someone who said the 91W is version 2 while the 90W is version 1 and there may be some improvements in the 91W so I am thinking of buyng that one even though it is heavier.
Which one would you recommend and do you know what the improvements may be? How much difference will the weight make?. I want a stable firm ride with good handling. I currently have Michelin PS2s that weigh 23lbs. but find the handling a bit too soft.
