I'm trying to fax Plant Dingolfing for a tour and keep getting a busy signal and it wont go through. Am I doing something wrong. The fax number reads ++49-(0) 8731-76-22382. How do you dial this correctly?

Depends from what country you are faxing.

The plus indicates the international dialing prefix. So wherever you see plus, use the prefix. This varies by location and country.

Leave off the 0 in ( ).

Then dial the rest of the number.

Are you sure that there are two plus signs btw?

With a fax, use the AT&T prefix to dial internationally (011), so:

011 49 8731 76 22382

At least the prefix 8731 is correct for Dingolfing.

Itīs not the prefix for Dingolfing. Itīs the U.S. prefix for international calls if you are calling from the U.S. In the U.S., itīs 011.

In Germany and Austria, for example, it would be 001.

So if you are faxing from the U.S. start with 011, then 49 for Germany then the city code w/o the "0" and then the rest of the number. Should work.
