Hey all,

I have been reading the forumn for quite some time now. I am a 2006 650i owner and absolutely love this vehicle! I was very immature today and decided to give into temptations and race the stage 3 rousch mustang next to me. He definetly burned me. We started at a light and he just kept on pullin, while i was gunnin it, but i felt as if i had a huge lack of power next to that mustang. He took about a car length ahead of me and i decided to call it quits. I drove off knowing i lacked that 55 extra hp, but still had a much more superior vehicle. Even after the fact i am still amazed by the beauty and performance of this vehicle.

there are some cars you just can't beat... my brother had a 87 Buick Grand National 2 years ago that will rip a new A-hole in 99% of the cars on the road.. and it's automatic.

360hp no more no less..

Either way... The 6 just has class, style and respect. And shows you may even have a job

Speed isn't everything, if it was we'd all be driving Z06's:)

Welcome. So, you felt "humiliated" because you got burnt by a Mustang. How about allowing me to suggest you regain your motoring dignity quick smart by posting pictures of your 650i to show it off to us. After you do that, I'm sure your motoring dignity will come back.

I ran with a lot of Mustangs and Corvettes at an HPDE recently. The 650i did well and out ran a suprising number of cars but as mentioned, there are cars that are faster. I especially had issues with a supercharged Cobra R but they are a special lightened 'Stang intended for track use.

There's no question I'd prefer to be in the 650i any day and so did my instructor. His comment was "After the noisy Mustang, its great to sit back, relax in luxury in all this leather, and just watch you drive". I must have been doing well for him to have said that. :) If I ever get a chance, I'll get an in-car video uploaded and a link posted.

Agree with you Richard in NC, but be careful; we shouldn't give our humiliated new member his motoring dignity back yet. Not so soon. Not until he posts his pictures.

Oh yea... we don't believe you even have a 650... You just may be a Mustang fan boy posting on here to rile us up.. But you may forget.. 6'er owners are a little more scientific.. if your beat your beat.

So post some pics!

I should have been more aware of the whole pic thing as i have been reading this forumn for some time. I will post some cell pics tomorrow during the day light.

stage 3 are real road cars, but what a price to pay. put that kind of money in a 650 and you get a m6. that'll smoke the stage 3.

There are a lot of cars that can beat a 3/6/7 series.

If all that mattered to me was 0-60 I would not be driving a BMW. :p

Let's see, would I rather drive a Ford or a BMW? hum?

Just think...the chump with the fast Mustang gets there first, but then he has to sit there longer thinking about the fact that you own a BMW and he still has a Mustang. I think YOU won after all!

I can't talk bad about Mustangs because I got a turbo one at the house. Full boost is a scary thing but the 6er is in another category of transportation. While my Mustang will absolutely beat up on almost anyone on the highway, my 6er has comfort, style, and a radio.

The mustang is absolutly no match for the 6 in comfort, features, and ultimate luxury. I see that it is really hard to compare a $50,000 american hot rod, to an $80,000 luxury german coupe. In the end i won as i drove off in the much more appreciated and beautiful vehicle. If i wanted some american muscle i would've bought a viper, but im 110***37; completely satisified with my ride.

Prove to the community that you are ecstatic about your 6er.

How you say? Well, there is an event schedule in 2 weeks. Check it out but I believe since you have been roving around for some time you know exactly what I am talking about.:D

So you in? Or is that just internet talk...
