This will be my first Bimmerfest. I'll be driving my nice but not concours E30 M3 and I have a couple of questions:

1. Is caravanning a recipe for gridlock? If I want a nice parking spot should I get there at dawn?

2. Is there parking for non-show cars or are all BMWs being thrown together?

3. If I park in the main lot am I stuck for the duration? If I bring the wife I may have to cut it a little short.

4. Are there separate parking areas for different models?

1) The gates open at 9.
2) Everyone who gets there reasonably early should get a spot in the parking lot - look at the pano on the event site for an idea of what that looks like.
3) I'm pretty sure you can come and go, although if you leave and return parking could be limited.
4) No, except they did try to group the classics last year.

Parking is not bad, unlike when bimmerfest was at Cutters. The entrance is gate B, which parallels 101.

You're in for a treat, Bimmerfest is like nothing you have ever seen before!

1. Is caravanning a recipe for gridlock? If I want a nice parking spot should I get there at dawn?
Not at all. Caravanning to the show can be a great part of the experience. We open the gates at 9 and have plenty of room.

2. Is there parking for non-show cars or are all BMWs being thrown together?
All cars will be parked in the main lots of Earl Warren. Cars that want to be in the show will need a window card (details on that coming soon)

3. If I park in the main lot am I stuck for the duration? If I bring the wife I may have to cut it a little short.
Nope. We keep open isles so people can leave as needed.

4. Are there separate parking areas for different models?
We'd love to do that but with 1500 cars it isn't practical.

Last year I got there between 10-10:30 and the lot was already full so I had to park in the dirt at the stables. Will they clear out the stored trucks and dealer cars to make more parking spots available in the main lot, or do I need to get there earlier? Is there a long line to get in at 9?

Last year was a first for our parking service, Signature Parking. They did a great job but were simply not prepared for the 1300+ cars we had. They now know what the situation is and will be parking cars in a fashion to ensure there is parking for everyone.

With so many cars arriving at 9AM there is bound to be a line but we will be working to ensure it is as quick and easy for everyone to get in as possible.
