'98 328ic vs '99 M3 conv.

Debating between the 2. '98 328ic has 99K and the M3 has 66k. Both are 5-speeds and in pristine condition. Anything I need to know/take into consideration aside from the performance differential? (Obviously the M is more expensive by about $8k). Any thoughts are appreciated - Thanks.

Another thing to consider is the part for the M will be more expensive (but worth it)
