Squeaky Trunk Struts

I applied WD-40 to these struts and a bit around the surrounding hinges, but the squeak remains, and created another tiny one. Any ideas?

It might be a time to replace them.

When was the last time that you replaced the struts? How many miles?

Push down on your trunk and see how much bouncing you get.

Never replaced them I don't think. Hm.
