This is what Happened,

*After Car wash at the car wash place it didn't start.
*Found out water went into the engine computer due to 2 clogged drains.
*I Bought a used computer right number and sticker number.
*Ran like crap with backfires

*Clicking sound from #5 coil. Took it out, cracked and molten plastic.
*Exchanged #5 with #1 coils
*Now cyl 1 coil was clicking.
*Bought coil and socket put it in Cyl 1 ($144 ouch)

*Ran like crap with backfires
*Now Coil at #5 previosly on 1 was clicking.
*Swapped coil #5 with New coil at #1
*Coil at Cyl 1 clicking

Checked Coil with Ohmmeter, its within specs and no melted plastic.
New spark plug, still runs like crap.

Could the secondary winding be bad?
Whats that clicking?
is the spark grounding somewhere other than the plug?
is that what makes that clicking sound?
should i buy another coil?

Also,
before my computer died the climate control lights(3) stayed on and the fan would run but the air was not coming out.
After computer was replaced
every couple of minutes while the car is on theres a noise in the dash. Sonds like the flap for the ac or heater is opening and closing or something.

So can the used computer also be bad?
conector to the computer which also got wet be bad?

did the computer going bad also make the coils go bad?

Bad coil probably killed the output transistor in the new computer.

Did you have water in the plug wells after the carwash?

No, no water in the spark plug wells. Only in the drains. They were full of leaves and dirt. I cleaned them out so rain and car wash water should just drain. The clicking at coil #1 sounds like the spark is happening inside the coil and not in the combustion chamber. So im just going to replace another coil.

Thanks for the reply

so new coil and new ECU. It probably did damage the new ecu cause the vents that are in the dash keep opening and closing every 20 secs or so and it drives me crazy! Before the old ecu died some of the climate controls stopped working. After new ecu they work but now this happens.
