Race Win (private roads of course)

Ok guys/ girls.

So my friend and i were on the track last weekend, and had a bit of a drag. It was almost exactly 400m (1/4 mile)

His car: 1993 325i, auto, 4 door, CAI, 8.5inch wide tires.

My car: 1994 320i, auto, 2 door, Catalytic Converter removed, stock tires.

the thing i cant work out is the fact that i won...

With my car i got anb original owners manual which has the stats for his car and mine. The gearing ratios and diff ratios etc are exactly the same in the book. and the weight is about 20kgs difference...

however my car changes to 2nd at about 70kmh, and his changes at 80. mine hits 3rd at about 100, his at 120ish.

So can ANYONE shed some insight onto WHY i won that race?

To be quite honest, the only thing to be doing 419kph would be ya hand on a doodle....And, having said that, I hope you are wearing eye protection...that helps avoid injury incase of 'fly offs'...LOL.....:jack:

To answer your original question Muppetgod...

Drag racing (and any racing) is as much about driver skill as the car. You have have shifted better for a start

I could drag race someone driving a 328i with me in a 320i and still kick their asses if they drove like a tard. On a track i could do it even if they were a good driver as i, if i may say so myself, KICK ASS as a racing driver!!!!

Congrats on the win anyway, any ego boost is a good thing. Just remember if you have too much, you will end up like that fcuking idiot Speed_Freak and that is a punishment worse than death. Imagine being such a pathetic little pr1ck that you have to join a forum just to take the p1ss out of people

I have a JDM factory 2+2 (2 front seats, 2 back seats) twin turbo, no they didnt come out in USDM factory, and yea my cars rear is stretched out, the gas cap is behind the wheel arch not infront like the 2 seaters :rofl: And this is coming from a guy that has an bmw that I can piss on?

Well what dom has heard is that, the boys in the motorsport devision are in the process of building a Bimmerfest Atomic bomb. It will be droped over speed_freaks house via our good buddies the BFAF. Bimmerfest Airforce. e36's with wings and jet engines attached to them. Apparently this bomb is designed to eliminated speed_freak and his kind yet leave the bmw owners and their vechiles safe from harm :thumbup:
