Recently, I replaced the brake pads and rotors myself on the back wheels of my car. It was fine until one time I was driving it, I heard a clank and I could feel it throughout the car. I took my car back to my garage, took off the brakes to check them, and they were fine. Thats when I noticed the emergency brake shoe. The locking springs that held it to the backwell were bent and broken. I took the shoe off and hoped it was ok after that. The other side was fine. After putting the brakes and wheels back on that side, I took it for a very nice and easy test drive. Once again I heard the clank coming from what sounds like the drivetrain area so I took it home and took off the wheels and brakes on the other side. The emergency brake shoes are fine on that side and now I have no idea what is wrong with my car. A couple weeks ago, I had the u-joint replaced along with the half of drive shaft that has to go with it. Any ideas whats wrong?

The flex-disk could cause it to make that clank noise and you could feel it throughout the whole car???

Well i got the u-joint replaced and its not when I put it into gear its while im driving for no reason it does that. At first i thought it was maybe the emergency brake shoe sticking to adjust but then i dont know when i was driving it, it seemed like something snapped as if the emergency brake line is wrapped around the driveshaft somehow. Im stumped.
