I just purchased my 03 745i a few weeks ago and I have plans for it...in my mind it looks rather plain without some rims and a lowering job...I have pretty much narrowed it down to H & R springs...I didn't know they sold two sets of h & r springs..one set is 1.3fronts/1 rear drop..and the other is 1.3 all the way around...probably going with the 1.3 all the way around... I plan on doing a set of clean and classy 22s with a deep dish rear....My questions if you guys could help is: what other springs are out there that lower the car just a little bit more, like 1.5-1.6 or 7???????....I've heard about ac-snitzer, and harman...and of course eibach and intrax, but comments people made about eibach not lowering the car enough to intrax springs turning bad after a while shys me away from getting them...any comments??????.............also, what is the correct offset to run the 22 x 9.5 fronts and 22x10.5/11 rears....????...is it +15 fronts and +22 rears..thanks in advance..Paul.....lastly...any guys in the San Francisco bay area want to get together for a mini bimmer show some time!!!!!

Congrats on your new purchase. I think I've spoken to you before. I have Intrax springs and they're pretty comfortable imo.

H&R with a 1.3 drop is the best Ballin' on a Budget Drop.. and 10.5" rears would be good enough i have 13's

Sorry to hi-jack, but two quick questions:
1. Do you happen to have the H&R part #'s for both spring options?
2. How do you determine if your 7 has the self leveling air suspension? I just purchased mine and the previous owner did not know.

well...I just learned that the two different spring rates that H & R offers are for the 2 different types of bimmer's suspensions....1.3 all around is for the cars with self-leveling....and 1.3 in the front with 1 inch in the rear are for cars with coil springs all the way around..hope that helps...GOOCH..what part # did you list for...???

Hey SevenMan,
Do you have any before and after pictures of your ride during once you had you Intrax springs installed? I'm thinking about either getting some KW coilovers or Itrax springs from Derrick of d2autosport.

How much did you spend to have them installed and how long did it take for the installation.

My buddy is a mechanic, so I hooked him up with $200 for the install. It took him about 5-6 hours.
Average local shops were quoting me about $1200 for labor.

Hey Thanks Man,
I'm trying to find a installer in New Jersey, but this will definitely give me an idea of what to expect.

What is the Intrax drop again? Has anyone ridden in both a 7 with the Intrax and one with the H&R?
