I have greatly enjoyed this site and look forward to taking delivery of my first BMW next week. My wife and I are flying to Munich to pick up an E93 with the following configuration: Platinum Bronze / Saddle / Light Poplar / 6 Speed Manual / Nav / HD / iPod / Sport / Premium / Cold Weather (despite being in Florida) / Active Steering (despite the debate on Bimmerfest).

This vehicle should nicely complement our 1971 Datsun 240Z (4 speed coupe - virtually NOTHING electronic).

We fly into Munich and drop off in Geneva two weeks later. I am also a watch collector, so this trip will combine two of my passions: sports cars and wristwatches!

Welcome, from across the bay! We were in your shoes in October of '05, picking up our first Bimmer in Munich. You are in for a wonderful experience. I, for one, believe that you made a great choice in selecting the Active Steering. Hit those switchbacks in the Alps and you will see what I mean.
