I am looking to get forced induction on my 325i for more power and I had a couple of questions as to what direction i should go. I don't want to spend more than 6k. I have high mileage, 90k+. Would would be better for me: Super or turbo? and what product(s) should i consider?

First of all, make sure ur ride is in good to perfect mechanical condition. Before supercharging (the only route for e46 325 for now) put money on preventive maintenance.
SC kits are from $4k to $7K with a professional install for upto $1500.

yea, the car is in perfect shape. its been a dream. last night while reading on the e46fanatics forum i was reading stuff about parting out m3's and m5's and i had a thought of instead of boosting my engine why don't i just buy a parted out one off of an m5 or m3 for relatively the same cost without the possible complications like engine explosion. I don't think an m5 engine would fit but im no expert. What do you guys think?

Swapping engines will cost you more because of labour, unless you can DIY.
Superchanging is the "cheapest" way.

I put together a turbo kit for less than $3k. It took me about 6 months of really watching for great deal on the internet. I did pretty much everything myself including tuning the bigger injectors with stock ECU. At 10psi i manged to trap 107mph in the 1/4 mile

It is all diy, good job. Do you focus on the trap speed mainly, or hp numbers.

At that mileage when you go FI, something is bound to brake. What numbers (HP) are you looking to have?
