I've been a fan of S03s for years now, but they're being discontinued. Many people have told me there are better handling Z-rated tires out there now anyway (I'm an old-dog / new-tricks kinda guy, so I stuck with what worked well).

Anyway, I have a 2001 330cic with the sport pkg -- staggered front (7.5" rim) back (8.5") tires. Sooo.... I need a recommendation for something that will handle as well or better than the S03s, with at least as good wear. I'm used to getting around 25k miles out of tires due to my twisty mountain commute. I generally dropped around a kilobuck on tires annually, so that's the ballpark budget.

Thanks, everyone!

Good replacements to consider would be the Bridgestone RE505A Pole Position, Michelin PS2, and Goodyear GSD3.

I've got PS2's on my ZHP 330cic, love 'em: good ride, handling, good in the rain, I even drove them well into the winter here :eeps:

Dave:

I loved the Goodyears when I had the E46; I plan to put them on the 535 when the time comes.

I think I'll be going with PS2s when my OEM RE040s wear out.
