I am about to complete the final paperwork for my ED purchase (this is not for the ED purchase order, but rather the paperwork with my dealership to finalize the purchase/financing terms), and I was given a "Restricted Poewr of Attorney" form to sign. Basically by signing it, I am agreeing to allow authorize and grant power of attorney to XXXX to act for me in all matters pertaining to the licensing and/or execution of an assignment covering my vehicle.
Now is this something that I should be signing? I think I recall a thread in here a couple months ago how this would not be to my best interests, as if anything were to happen legally, I would be under the influence of someone who is acting in the best interests of the dealership, not me....
What should I do?
