After getting my car back from the dealer yesterday, my side view mirror no longer angles downward when I put the car in reverse. Any clues as to why? Has anyone else had this problem? More importantly, any ideas on how I can resolve this?

It's in the Manual which you obviously haven't read.
Turn your side view mirror selector to the left.

Zing!!! I actually read the manual the first day I got the car...apparently just not good enough. After switching the selector to the left thus eliminating the "problem", I grabbed my manual for another read. Thanks for the help.

There's not much that I complain about on the E60, but it bothers me that you can't tilt and return the driver's mirror in the same manor.

Just curious--why would you want to do that? I'm not aware of any car that does that.

Haven't you ever wanted to back into a driveway where the driver's mirror would see the edge that you were parking on? Or, back into a parking space and want to see a line on the driver's side? If I'm not mistaken, I test drove an Acura with the ability to tilt both mirrors. :dunno:
