Hi,
I am a proud new owner of a 96 328i and I am very excited to join bmw owners club.
Normally I would not create a new thread and would try to use "search" as much as possible instead, but I seem not to be able to find any information of a windshield R/R.
The car came with a rust spot in the center under the windshield, and windshield is cracked a little in the same spot, so I wanted to pull windshield out, fix the rust and put a new windshield in.
I am worried about the trim around the windshield. I assume it's glued into the sealant.
1. Are there any tricks to removing/reinstalling seals/trim/moldings without breaking or should I just but all new pieces, since my hood cowls need to be replaced. I read in one of the posts that dealership has 2 cowls for around $70.
2. what is the price for the rest of the seals/trim/molding around the windshield?

Any of your useful input is greatly appreciated.

Mik.

Check www.pelicanparts.com I just got OEM cowls for my car not to long ago from there and they were cheaper that $70!

what about the rest of the molding around the windshield? I think it's a good idea to get all new pieces, since I'm replacing windshield.

You can get everything for your E36 at Pelican. Check www.realoem.com for part #'s and such and then search the part #'s at pelican. They are cheaper than the dealer and shipping is pretty quick as well.
