The abs warning light on my '97 323i came on yesterday and stayed on for 400 miles then went off. Today it as come on twice. There seems no difference in braking performance etc, both front and rear pads were replaced 1000 miles ago. What could be wrong?
thanks

check your wiring going into the calipers to make sure nothing is loose or bare wires. ALso could be a sensor issue as well.

Your braking performace shouldnt change as you will still have the primary braking system. You just wont have the 'anti-lock' feature, thus if you pile on the brakes, you will lock up and skid.
Im with BIMRPWR with this one, BUT...and the BUT, if you find nothing wrong, like a loose wire or similar, take the car to a mechenic or even a 'stealer' to be fixed.
Cheers XXXX
