I just put a deposit down on a 2000 540i yesterday, and while I wait for my car (picking it up next week), I'm faced with the problem of what I can do with my XM radio.
I've had a Roady2 in my Passat for 2 years and I love it. I used a mounting bracket from Pro-Fit which worked pretty well, and utilized just a simple tape adapter. It wasn't the cleanest thing in the world, but it was easy and it worked.
Now that I have my first bimmer, I want something a lot cleaner but I don't want to give up my XM radio. I suppose I could get another bracket from Pro-fit and look into hardwiring the radio to the car, but I really don't want a bracket sticking out of the sleek dashboard.
Does anyone have any ideas for a really clean install? It could be DIY or something I'd have to have professionally installed, I don't care. I'm just looking for some different ideas. Grazie.
