I'm trying to figure out if I can start ordering the convert e93.

I emailed a couple dealer but got the response that pricing has not been set for 2008 until July. What do I do?

Should I do a "prereservation" based on ED invoice plus $$$? Can I start negotiating on price? Also, I'm interested in picking up the car late December or early Jan. Is that possible?

Thanks

I can't answer the pre-reservation part, sorry. I know that other people here have been able to secure their "deal" months in advance of a new vehicle's release date, so I assume that you could find a dealer who would give you a deal now ($$$ over invoice, etc.) and handle the paperwork in a couple of months.

Regarding the pick-up in late December/ January, please do a search for "winter tires." You will find that you could run into weather related issues and possibly legal issues if you have the incorrect tires.

Also be aware that their are many holidays in that time of year, so you might have a tough time getting the exact dates that you want. My advice: go in early December so you can experience the Christmas Markets in Munich (I've never been but have heard and seen many wonderful things).

thanks for the 411. i forgot about the weather issue in Dec/Jan. does any1 else know how 'bad' is the weather there during end of Dec/early Jan? the 335i will definitely have sport package; so, is it okay to run on those summer tires?

should i just wait it out or order now for the 2008? thanks...
