seat belt light and abs light

can anyone point out what this might be

tried to cancel abs but the code doesnt cancel

the seat belt is on as well as the abs light , are these connected and if so whats the likely problem

Common problem mate

The seatbelt sensor needs replacing (most likely to be the passenger one it seems ) :)

why will it be the passenger side, i thought it would only be the drivers side as what happens when you are driving the car alone would the light not be on all the time?

It's a running problem, actually.
It's been around and it's still going on. I don't really have an answer for you, but since it's still going on it seems as if they don't have an answer over at BMW either.
