It's Official - Hubby is now divorcing me. He is citing 'insanity' as his defence:D
Pirate & I went to a BMW car show on the weekend - Boy, there were some lovely Bimmers there!!
Anyway, they had a few trade stands and one was for Zymol, the prestige detailing cleaning product company. You Guys in the USA may well be more aware of this as it is now made in the US. 110 years ago it was invented in Germany.
As most of you Guys know, I am known as the 'Queen of Clean' and I could not resist visiting this stall. I felt like I was a kiddie in a sweet shop with all that cleaning stuff. And there they were, shining like a beacons - tubs of Carnauba Wax. Forget Gucci handbags and D&G Sunglasses, I was smitten - I wanted these products:whip:
Ended up spending 105 GBP on the standard kit containing 'Auto Bathe [NOT shampoo - that is so last season Darling!], leather care cream, a bottle of 'Cleanse' that smells EXACTLY like a chocolate liquer HONEST, a pot of Carnauba Wax, two applicator sponges and a very high class microfibre cloth. We added to this an amazing tyre cleaner and protector and a Detailer spray for in between treatments. Total bill, including discount, 125 GBP:yikes:
I got home and started immediately [well, not immediately, as I had to give my Hubby mouth to mouth resuscitation when he saw the price:rofl:]. The Wax is the most amazing product I have ever used and also the easiest to apply and shine off. You also do not have to worry about getting the Wax on the black plastic, mirror surrounds etc as it just leaves them vibrant and amazingly shiny - unlike some conventional polishes that leave residue on black plastic.
Guys, you got to give this stuff a shelf of its own in your garage. As self respecting Bimmer lovers, you owe these products to your car:bow:
Take a look at the photos - they speak for themselves. The ones with the 'pearls' after the rain are just amazing.
The Wax is so pure ie NO chemicals, you can actually eat it!! All products are made from extracts from coconut, banana, apricot, pineapple etc.
Pic # 1 & 2 showing reflection of sky, trees, sun etc on boot

Pic # 5 amazing 'pearls on bonnet after a shower of rain today

I tell you something, if my car looked yesterday morning like she looks now I would have entered her into perhaps the 'novice' section because she now looks just as amazing as some of the cars we saw yesterday.
I have to say that I am absolutely fanatical about my car anyway and she is so beautiful but these products have really done her justice and really enhanced what was already there. I will try and get some photos of the inside of the door frames where the hinges are just to show how immaculately clean she is. This has not happened overnight. It has taken me a long time to get them that clean. And my wheelarches are another story - ask Pirate!!!
She recently went in for her annual MOT and passed. The garage man said the blokes commented that they had never seen such a clean and shiny car. They said they instinctively knew she would pass because anyone who looked after the cosmetic side of their car like I do must be as fanatical about the mechanics and general 'wellbeing' of the car. Of course, they were correct.
Who says you cannot improve on perfection!

that is some awesome stuff you have there. I have a friend that uses that and he tried it on his DD 325is black really faded and once he did a section it was back to showroom shine. Once i claybar my car i will be getting some of that and get mine all shinny again. Love the shine of the car and i have been known to spend a few hundred on cleaning supplies as well.

[I] honestly think it is false economy to use cheaper products. My Hubby [who has since mellowed slightlyand has called off the Solicitor/Attorney!!] spent a lot of money having his beloved 1967 S Type Jaguar's body re-done. Why not spend a lot of money now keeping her lovely looks - it will pay off big time in the future as she is increasing in value year on year.
Also we are having the Merc touched up. She, unlike the Jaguar, has to live outside so, again, she must be well protected from the elements.
