Hey guys and galls

When at the car show on Sunday, i saw this 8 series

Am i mistaken or has he put an Audi S8 badge on it??

The only BMW S8 i could find was a concept :dunno:

Looks like re-badge idiocy to me.
Never.
Ever.
Ever, ever, put something in the place of the BMW roundel. Most people who do that have no regard for BMW and their creations, so I'm guessing the same goes for the odd re-badge. That's definitely an 8, but I don't recall anything other than 8--Abc designations (850Csi).

It says 'M' on the wing light, too. I know Csi had M markings in random spots, especially the engine, but this car just looks sketch to me.

You guys are hilarious! Why confront him? It's his car! If he's dumb enough to rebadge it with an audi badge do you really think you're going to get a good enough answer from him? He did it because he wanted to. It's pretty simple.

Hang on mate...

I was actually asking incase there was an 8 series i didn't know about

BAD PIRATE.....BAD BAD BAD PIRATE :spank:

I realize what you were asking, towards the end you had said that the badge was defintely an audi badge, and you continued on to say that you were really worried about him. That's why i said what i said. confronting him about it and saying you were WORRIED about him is a little silly.

IF i was to speak to him, i would have just asked what the badge meant

If i recall, he is the editor of the magazine and so am sure there is reason, i just cant think what it is.....

Guess we will never know now

I saw a beautiful silver M5 badged e39 last month in a restaurant parking lot.
Wait...is Hooters a restaurant?:bigpimp:
Anywho, I took a peek into the interior, was instantly dismayed to see an automatic gearbox
Then I noticed the square door mirrors and the single exhaust.
The car is still nice and all, but you have to wonder... why:dunno:

That's a bit harsh. I think anyone should be able to put a M badge on ANY BMW...

As long as it is one of these http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=111618&stc=1&d=1181727863

Possible

My mate also said it maybe there cos he beat an S8 in a race and took it as a trophy....

I still wouldn't put Audi trash on my car. My wall, maybe, but badge abuse is a minor desecration.

Yeah thats what I meant. Ive seen a few 8 series but not that many around in my parts. My friend actually owns a 93 850i. It sure is one nice car.

wow, what a shame :(

defacing an 8 series with something like that is blasphemous and the owner should have it replaced with a toyota previa

unfortanately a car before its time. Even in the 90's it was over priced. But must admit, as a young man alway aspiring to an 850i coupe. What a beatifull shape and a V12 to boot.
I know it would never win best handling or family car of the year but ...

Maybe it is time for BMW to think about reintroducing something similar. Not everyone one want a M3 or M5 but 2010 version of the 850 might be something that would sell
