96 328 5pd Starts At Times .others Winding Noise ?.stater Bad ?

Hey Guys ...i Have A 96 328 5 Speed ..sometimes It Wont Start And You'll Hear A Metal Winding Noise And Then Other Times It Will Start Just Fine ....is It My Starter That Needs To Replace?

If so, that is your fuel pump priming the lines and normal mate.

Starter or flywheel??? you might be missing teeth on the flywheel is my guess....

Starter is a distinct possibility, the solenoid maybe on the way out
