Got my first door ding while I was at the dentist on Wednesday. This car was parked a little too close for comfort and it was pouring rain. I imagined the driver throwing the door open quickly with complete disregard for the silver 330Ci parked next to them and running to his/her destination to avoid getting wet. Unfortunately, it was raining too hard for me to check for the possibility of a ding.

I checked just now and confirmed it. I wish it hadn't been pouring rain on Wednesday. WTF is wrong with people? People like that deserve to get their sh!t destroyed.

Sorry to hear.
I always try and park next to another nice car or away from other cars if I can just avoid this problem. I try not to park next to vans(might have kids, who could care less about my car) or cars that look like the owner could care less about his/her car. But if I must park next to one of these cars I try and do it on the passenger’s side hoping that the driver is alone.

But yea, my brother had his whole right fender dented in (huge, right between the passenger door and front tire). We didn't see it till the next morning (it was late at night). Its not like someone opened there door but hit the car, and just ****ing took off. Those ****s . Took $1200 to fix it and a new right fender.

People like that deserve to get their sh!t destroyed.

O they do! Very much so hehe

they say it's better to park next to minivans and four door cars. Four door cars having shorter doors overall and minivans having sliding doors avoiding contact with your car, even if it's kids in there.

sorry to hear.....try dentwizard.

That sucks Damon sorry to hear that :( . . . I am careful as can be and my new 330i got it's first door ding at only 1 month old (it's 3 months old now)

It sucks but the good news is, the dent removal service can get rid of it for under 100 and you'll never know it was ever there.

So look at it this way, that day cost you another $100 . . .

Get over it, dude - it's just a ding. Put in the perspective of life - it's a really minute thing to lose yourself over. I have two of these on the passenger side if that makes you feel any better.

Thanks. Nobody was there when I parked. I'll have to give Dent Wizard a call.

While I appreciate your intent, the fact that you have 2 dings doesn't make me feel any better. I don't believe in the "misery loves company" rap. People who have little or no respect for others just rub me the wrong way.

I haven't "lost myself over it". It's just an irritation. People that mindlessly do crap that negatively impacts others are useless. I need one of those "trunk monkeys" to watch the car while it's parked, that's it. :D

There is this one area in my company's garage off in a corner away from all other cars where 3 BMW's always park. You can tell these guys take care of their cars and make sure jerks wont park around them. I am going to joint that club when my car gets here.:)
