Was just wondering if anyone has tried this, or does this on a regular basis...

I read the side of the bottle of this car wax brand, and it says to try adding a little wax to the water used for daily washing... I've tried it, and it seems to make my baby look better than just ordinary washing...

What sort of wax is it? Must be water based as it would not mix with the water:dunno:

As I only have to put the Zymol wax on twice a year, I will use their silicone free detailer in between waxes. It is a 'use anytime' light cleaning spray with carnauba wax. This again is so easy to wipe on and buffs off to a brilliant shine. Same sort of concept as what you do I suppose.

There most certainly are Buddy. How concentrated it is depends on how much you pay I suppose :dunno:

Get the best concentrate you can afford [or if not, ask for it for your birthday which is coming up fast ]

Like BA says must be water based, not good whacking a in lump of paste or some thing like that,as you know those sorts of wax have to dry before your wipe them of.

Yup... I use water based wax... Lemme try and find the brand again... Coz I just used up a bottle, and now have to get another...

But soap/shampoo every day on the car? Doesn't that ruin your paint?

Hhmm... Interesting... But then again, isn't it bad for the paint to wash it with soap on a daily basis?

See, with the dust from all the construction going on in this tiny place (as in every few blocks is new building being put up, usually casinos and hotels), the dust is a real pain in the ass, and leaves a thick layer of dust every morning... Normally a feather duster would do, except its also been raining, usually at night, for the past couple of months so the dust turns to mud and has to be washed off...

This is why I pretty much have to wash my baby on an almost daily basis, and was just wondering if water based wax and water would be a good combo for daily washing...

i dont think you should mix the wax with the water.
just get a nice bottle of carnuba wax and a bottle of synthetic wax and layer the waxes

Based on what you have posted about the dust and rain...washing with a wax based soap would be a good thing...anything would be better than leaving that much crap on your car, that would cause more damage that any amount of washing would cause....also I have been to your island twice

Probably... Believe you me, I have to clean the house almost every day coz of the dust, and I keep the windows closed...!!

When were you last here?
