Automatic at 80 mph

Someone asked a question a few weeks ago, and I'm not sure if it was answered:

A manual transmission owner wondered what the RPMs were on an M50 with automatic at 80 mph ... 3100 rpm.

Put it in sport mode, should be more like 4300

Sure, but why would I want to? That's just putting unnecessary labor on the engine. If you're on the interstate, you don't want to run sport mode.

Someone just wanted to know the normal RPMs for an auto at 80, which is why I posted.
