Are these gas additive fuel injection cleaners any good? Worth the money to try it? Any negative side effects?

Use this stuff. It is 100times better then STP or any other stuff you pick up at the local auto parts store.

Get the 44k in the pop can style and put it in when the gas tank is about 1/4 full and run it until you are almost out of gas and then fill up with premium and you will be good to go

Dont discount the STP though, it is brilliant stuff
Guess we all have different products though as we live on different continents though hehehe
Seafoam seems quite popular but looks VERY aggressive!

True True Pete. I am jsut not a huge fan of those cleaners u get at the local parts stores. I dont care for to many of their products for replacement parts either at those places....Maybe i am a SNOB :) We have used the BG44k on a Ford Expidition that was having some issue's and after we put a bottle of this in boy did it get all of its power back. Pretty much like new again.

Put in a bottle of STP Complete Clean on my way home - 20 mile drive.
Can't vouch yet for more power, but MAN, I'm getting 35-40 MPG where I ususally get 29. What do that put in that stuff. Dylithium crystals? :)

Yes. I use Techron, manufactured by Chevron and used in their gasoline. I pick up a bottle about once or month and dump into an empty tank and then fill her up. Works good and keeps the injectors clean and leak free.

one can also use acetone(sp?) and put a small amount in your gas as well. I heard that stuff is awesome but i would never try it on the e36, but maybe the corolla..
Also some of that stuff is not really recommended to put in at every fill up. Can cause some issues with the engine..so becareful

Use it everytime you fill up?!? SUICIDE??? Youre engine will burn TOO hot. And Acetone is a once in a liftetime thing. If youre engine burns too hot you'll overheat, after that you could actually put a HOLE in youre piston head, believe it or not!!
Using it once every month is a little too much if you ask me. Once every 2 month is pretty good...Try putting gasoline on your hands and then put carb-cleaner and tell me wich one has worse afterburn senation?? Carb-cleaner, we use it in the shop to start up cars wich has bad pumps/senders. spray it through the intake with the butterfly FULLY opemed and it will start!! Guarenteed! but for a couple of seconds!!! hehhe!
And by the way, thisis my 99th post!!! so, The 100th will be my next thread!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOO!!! been waiting for that avatar for AGES!!!!
