US English on Sat Nav

I just bought a 335d touring with Idrive & Sat Nav in the UK - The problem is that the voice announcements are in US English not UK English. The language settings section in the Idrive menus offers French, Spanish and UK English which is the selected option but she still sounds very American. I have read the manual but can find no other reference to changing the default language.

The voice recognition system, however, speaks a very acceptable version of the Queen's English - What's going on? :cry:
