Will a E46 key work an E36 3G EWS alarm System ???

Does anyone on here know if a E46 key with the alarm remote built in, can be programmed to work an E36 alarm fob as in the photo's....?

My car is a 1999 E36 323i and has a 3G EWS factory alarm fitted. It would be great to be able to ditch the alarm fob for an all in 1 key.
