Window and Sunroof Problem

One day my windows and sunroof stopped working. I replaced the comfort switch and checked the fuses and they still don't work. I think the motor still works because when I open and close the doors the window goes up and down because it's a coupe. What now? Any help is appreciated.

Turns out it was the power locking door fuse. But now its shorting. What could cause this? I've already used 3 fuses...

are we talking central locking door fuse here or winder motor door fuse ?

if its the central locking its possibly the acutator itself (dont know where u r but if you are in uk i can send u one (free) but check the wire that runs around the back of the window runner onto a clip that gets damaged as well sometimes

or if its the winder motor then the motors have a habit of packing up and doing this.

also check all wires are not touching anything inside the door as sometimes the winder mechinism catches them if the clips are broken and hanging loose.

one last piont to chech is where the door harness joins the car if the grommits are torn the wires can short out there

I have exact same problem with my 95 318is. It was working perfectly just the day before and I got in this morning and tried opening the sunroof... nothing, no sounds or anything. I checked the fuses which are all fine and the windows are working. If it was the comfort relay wouldn't the windows not be working either?

I think I've been had, this is the third thing that's gone wrong and I've had the car for a week. Bought it with 100k miles. Any help would be awesome...
