If the steering fluid is black do i have to do a flush and pour a new one....???? i wondering what's causing isteering fluid to be so black...???( and how do you flush the steering fluid out) please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being in one place for 10 years probably caused it to turn black. Flush it out. :)

could i do it myself .??? if yes where should i unplug the hose to flush it out..?

No, don't unplug the hose.

1. Use a turkey baster to suck the fluid out of the reservoir.
2. Fill it back up with ATF.
3. Start the car, turn the steering wheel all the way to the left, then to the right 4-5 times.
4. Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 at least 3 times over, until the bottle is empty.
5. Enjoy!

There is a drain plug on the unit also if you want to do it that way.

when i turning the steering wheel do i have to close the cap...
