its a 318 tds and it been a project so finally got it all together and took it for a spin but there isnt much power. p.s passed uk emission test yesterday in mot.

replaced air filter

what could it be ?

There are 2 cylinders missing. :D
Sorry, couldn't help myself.

There's not much to go on. It is what power you have smooth, or it it running like a dish licker? Does it feel like it's fuel starved? etc.

O2 sensor?
Camshaft sensor?
Vacuum leak?
Dirty air filter?
Dirty Fuel filter?

Get the codes pulled mate, tit may tell you.

I would change the filters and go from there :)

changed all filters, pulled all codes, changed mass airflo,

i am now thinking turbo knackered (lucky i have a spare)

maybe u havent tuned her right. If the fuel/air mixture isnt right then its gonna suck big time. I pick up that u put it all together. Just saying :)

You cant tune it unless you have ECU remap equipment Dom

Not like the old carbs where you had a screw to play with :D

lol yeah, i ment take it to a dyno where they dyno it and then tune it for optimum performance

New spark plugs can make a huge difference. Mine only last 8-10K miles. :eeps:

Diesels don't use spark plugs, nice one guys !

pirate what software does your lappy use for the codes? just gone and got carsoft, any good?

pity looked all over for them sparkplugs :rofl:

but i have had the injectors cleaned and that did no good

BMW diesels arent sold in the USA yet. :D
