Specific to this model, have anyone tried doing your own oil change? Any howto's you want to share(w/ pics will be exceptional)? Reason for this is I'm planning on doing it every 6K. Thanks. Here's an example on an Acura MDX (http://www.cougarbash.com/mdx/oil.htm)

If you have an 08' I believe you're required to take it into your dealer to maintain your warranty lease or not. Otherwise, its a filter and oil drain plug.

I don't know how the 528i oil change differs from the 535xi, but if you do a search for the 535xi oil change there are some very detailed post including pictures. Hope this helps.

I tried looking but couldn't find it.
Anyway's, which one here is the oil filter housing, red or yellow? I think it's the red but would like to confirm that. Do I need a special tool to remove the cap? Thanks in advance.

It is the red arrow. You need a special "cap" tool that fits over the oil filter. You can get these from the dealer but I've seen them at auto parts stores for much less. Remember to use a torque wrench on the filter and NOT tighten it beyond 18 ft lbs.
