So I'm driving down the road and a warning light appeared. It looks like a gear with a exclamation point in the middle. It's on my dashboard cluster, at the bottom, almost dead center.

What does it mean????

does your car have traction control.. i am pretty sure thats what that symbol is for.. i could be wrong.. does the light stay on or just flash at you?

it could also be a transmission warning light, could be low fluid, or something more serious, best is to take it in and check the codes.

^ No, the traction control is dead center but above the row of lights, and is merely a circular arrow with an exclamation point in a triangle in it.

I believe that means there is a problem with your auto tranny. I'd recommend you take it to a service place and have them tell you what exactly the code is. If you don't mind the drive, a great place is Fremont Foreign Auto. Just head south on the 880 and take Mowry towards the East, the place is near Mission. eurocartech.com. I've had great service there, great guys really.
