No Spark no Start!!!

need some help guys.

car turns over but will not start brought it to the shop they had it for a while and said the DME was shot,,,however this was not the case they finally got it to spark and so i paid the rediculous bill and took my car home drove it around started stopped started againthen at like 5:00 it wouldnt start...dont know what it is...possibilities:

1) crankshaft sensor
2) starter immobilizer relay
3) ZKEIV module
4) fuel pump or relay

any ideas on what is the cause of this and why it didnt start then started and now will not start

DME not wet and code 1444 is given

Mate, 1444 means the ECU is saying there is NO faults. It could be anyone of the 4 things you have listed. Also, when was the last time you replaced the plugs and fuel filter. Could be dirty plugs, but this is a long shot.

Also worth some attention is the ignition leads and coils.

I will think a bit harder over a beer and see what I can come up with.

somthing you should try doing is just switching the o2 sensor relay and the dme relay and see if that does anything for you.

if that works then your dme relay is done. a new one is $10.

how many miles does your car have? my fuel pump went out about 6k ago. 138k miles.

i knew that 1444 meant no faults i was just telling everyone that it was giving me that code

turns out it was the fuel pump costing me $530 for parts and labor

do u think this is a lot?? would it be worth it to do this DIY myself???
