Alright, So today my smoked tails came in the mail. Plugged them in. Everything went perfect. They work perfect, and look great. However.. My OBC check button is now saying "tail light failure." They definatly work.. So whats wrong??

Some tail lights are not "Check control" compatible. What brand are they? If they are Depo's, you can simply snip one of the bridges on the drivers side tail and they will be fine. Other brands may require some minor rewiring of the tail lights themselves to correct the issue. I've also read that snipping the green wire in the passenger tail light harness will solve the problem, but it basically deletes the tail light "check control" feature entirely.

replace the bulbs, i heard that only OEM bulbs would guarantee good compatibility although some good quality ones work fine as well. Be careful with cheap tuning parts connected to electronics, your car might not appreciate them.

Nah, I put the original bulbs back in.. I'm thinking it might just be mad cause I unplugged it while the key was in.. I'll probably need it just cleared maybe..

That's your car's response to being cheesed out.
