ok, so i've got my pick up day (10/4) and my vin # but i've yet to place the 'official' order.
i have about a month and a half before my flight.
so what is my time line? when is the first payment due? does the dealer need a copy of my passport? when is the absolute drop dead date for changing the options on the car? am i missing anything? :dunno:

I think you can modify options before the car gets into a production state.
Yes the dealer needs a copy of your passport (at least my needed)
I assume payment due will be once BMW deposits the money?

ok, so since i already have my vin # does it mean the car is in the production state?

go under the "Manage my BMW" tab. There you will see an option to "track my bmw".

I doubt it has already been produced
VIN does not mean that you cannot options.
I had my VIN number and after some time later added another option and it was fine.
By the way, do not use IE! It stinks! Go for FireFox =)

What do you mean? You must have put a reserve down to get the VIN. If you have a VIN#, then you have that car and its been produced or scheduled for production. You just need to do the final payment paperwork 20 days before your Munich delivery date. :)

when you login to OC, do you get Welcome vitaly screen?
There's a box "Manage my BMW" there, and your car model should be there.

Then you need to add a vehicle on the right. You'll need production # or VIN to add.
