Hello all,

First of all, I'd like to say "Hello" to everyone. You guys have one of the great "Bimmer" forum here, I'm a newbie & I hope that you guy don't be too hard on me:p(Joking).

Here is my question: I've a 93 325I sedan with an Analog Climate Control, and it's started getting crazy, I'm considering to buy a replacement from Ebay, and I saw that there are lots of Digital Climate Control for E36 from 96 to 99. I'm wondering if it's possible to switch to Digital one instead of Analog One for my 93 325I because I've to buy one anyway.

Thank you all in advance.

Best regards

AV

Alex,

PM user "VTi" and ask him how it went. I have heard that it is very simple, but another very knowledgeable user in that thread says it isn't possible without significant expense and work, as you saw if you read both pages. Check with VTi and see what he discovered, I may have been misinformed when I wrote that.

Just saw this thread.

I havent attempted this yet but Ive read a bit into it. It is possible but its very laborious. I definatly wouldnt attempt this without a good understanding of electronics, good with wiring and a steady hand with a soldering iron.

It seems pretty straightforward to me but with work and all that crap, I havent had the time, nor the use of a backup car to allow me this nice DIY :(

I have some time off soon and this WILL be done :) Writeup to follow
