I'm looking at a decently high mileage 325is to possibly purchase (has 187k miles) and I was just wondering if I should just stay away and look for a different bmw, or whether once you get them running flawlessly and maintain if they'd be reliable. The car is a pretty decent deal, Red 325is with no rust, leather, loaded, only $2000 obo.

obviously no one wants high mileage on their car, but like you said, once you get all the standard repairs and replacements that you need to do to the car, it'll run for a long time. my first bmw i bought with 175,000 and then ran it till 195,000 and nothing went wrong....tell him youll give him from 1,200 to 1,500

I know it sounds high mate, but if a BMW engine is looked after then 300k+ miles is easy :)
